TAG ANTAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE CLIMATE BY HELPING YOUR EMPLOYEES TO SAVE CO2
Surveys show that many employees would like to help save CO2 at work and privately, but that they need inspiration and knowledge on how to do it concretely.
In several industries, the employees’ CO2 emissions are much greater than the companies’ own CO2 emissions. Typically 6-10 times larger.
It is therefore an effective way to take responsibility for the climate, to help employees save CO2.
THIS IS HOW WE CHANGE HABITS
We believe that an effective method to help employees save CO2 is education and inspiration for what they themselves can do at work and privately. As well as help to measure how much they save individually and across the company.
By concretely measuring how many kg/CO2 the employees save, it becomes more motivating for them to participate.
The employees find that when many people join together in the company to save CO2, you can achieve large CO2 savings. They find that if they themselves do not save CO2 one day, their colleagues have.
WE BELIEVE IN THE COMMUNITY
We humans are herd animals and therefore we can save CO2 more easily if we do it together with colleagues from work, whose behavior we can reflect and be inspired by.
Over the past 20 years, companies have increasingly let the working community take responsibility for individual behavioral changes in connection with e.g. exercise and health. Why not how we save CO2?
ADVANTAGES FOR A WORKPLACE
By helping its employees to save CO2 at work and privately, a company can over time strengthen its Employer Branding and Employer Advocacy.
Unilever is one of the most successful companies when it comes to Employer Branding and Employer Advocacy.
For example, 50 percent of all new employees who apply to the company from university mention Unilever’s work with sustainability as the primary reason why they want to work for the company.
“The key to creating a vibrant and sustainable company is to find ways to get all employees, from senior managers to assembly workers, personally engaged in the company’s daily efforts for sustainability”.
